Merry Christmas

December 12th, 2007

Well I have finally started my maternity leave and I know I leave the school in good hands with Miss Heath and Mrs Purewal in charge.

Thank you to so many of you for your kind wishes and lovely Christmas cards. I promise to keep you all informed and bring the baby into school. Maybe I’ll post a picture on the blog site first!

The children in Rainbow, Red and Yellow Classes have been working hard on their Christmas Show and I am looking forward to seeing it on Thursday 13th.

Best Wishes

Parent Survey Results

February 23rd, 2007

Thank you to the many parents and carers who took the time to complete our school survey in December and January.

A table detailing the results can be downloaded by clicking on the link at the bottom of this post.

What next?

An informal coffee morning is being arranged for those parents and carers that completed the section at the bottom of the survey. I hope that this will be the first of many and that in the future there will be an active parents group who will help shape policies and influence decisions regarding the direction of the school.

Thank you again and please do not hesitate to use our suggestion box in the school entrance to either complete a survey or tell us what you think we are doing well and what still needs improving. Alternatively leave a comment on this blog by clicking on the comments link under the title of this post.

Striving Towards Achievement Reaching for Success

January 15th, 2007

S T A R S

The school motto was created by Mrs Hackney, Headteacher at Bridge Hall Primary School until 2003. The school motto was the result of a number of staff meetings and discussions with pupils and parents about what The Team at Bridge Hall were trying to achieve.

This motto lives on in murals around the school, through lessons with the pupils and shapes the way policies and the future direction of the school are decided.

What do you think of our motto?

Is it easy to understand?

We value all comments and suggestions and look forward to reading them.

Welcome to the new and exciting world of blogging at Bridge Hall!

November 14th, 2006

I can’t believe how easy this is! I am looking forward to reading posts from pupils and staff on our new blog site.

Let’s get some of that wonderful work the pupils at Bridge Hall produce up on show and share it with the world!
